NAMTEC to Host Conference on Nuclear: Metals and Manufacturing

NAMTEC, in partnership with the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC), are hosting Nuclear: Metals and Manufacturing Conference. This two day conference and dinner at the five star, Grade II, Oulton Hall, Hotel and Golf Resort near Leeds. The conference, which is being supported by the Special Metals Forum, will focus on the current, unified drive towards the Generation III+ nuclear power stations in the UK, from both technical and industrial stand-points.

The majority of the content will be a strong mix of academic and industrial information. This will include presentations from leading universities and Research & Technology Organisations (RTOs), including the recently announced Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, a partnership between the Universities of Sheffield and Manchester, the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), and cutting edge industrial companies.

The conference will provide delegates with a better understanding of the current and future status of the UK and global new nuclear build programmes, including the technical research and the challenges ahead. Delegates will also gain a considerable first hand insight into the opportunities available for the UK's materials and manufacturing supply base, and will have the chance to engage with the nuclear vendors and their Tier 1 suppliers.
