RPC Cobelplast, a partner of baby food specialist BLEDINA (now BLEDINA-NUMICO) since the launch of its BLEDICHEF range more than 10 years ago, has underlined its excellent working relationship by supplying high barrier film for the latest packaging format from the major global brand.
New BLEDICHEF range
The new BLEDICHEF range is packaged in a convenient container that enables parents to provide their infants with a balanced and tasty diet ‘in the twinkling of an eye.’ As the product is filled aseptically for an extended ambient shelf-life, BLEDINA required a high performance film to deliver an effective barrier to prevent the ingress of oxygen, water and other substances that might affect the taste or performance of the product.
RPC Cobelplast’s expertise in co-extruded PP/EVOH/PP film offered the ideal solution. The film offers favourable sustainability in comparison with glass, EVOH has excellent barrier properties and the consistent film quality ensured optimum compatibility with the thermoforming machine used by BLEDINA.
The versatility of the film has ensured the creation of a rigid container design offering numerous advantages for the final consumer. The robust design provides a handy ‘peelable’ opening system without compromising the integrity of the container. The shape has been developed for easy handling both by parents and children, and the container is fully microwaveable and reheatable in hot water for consumer convenience.
RPC Cobelplast’s film can also be supplied in different colours, including transparent and white, enabling BLEDINA to introduce different looks onto the market to suit marketing requirements.
