Murata’s ECAS Series of Polymer Capacitors Available for Online Sale

Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry’s broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, today announced it has stock on Murata Electronics’ ECAS series of polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

These capacitors are available for purchase on Digi-Key’s global websites and will be featured in future print and online catalogs.

Utilizing innovative design and manufacturing processes, Murata’s ECAS series provides a high level of performance, allowing circuit designers to achieve excellent noise suppression, ripple absorption, and output smoothing in power management applications. ECAS series capacitors are ideal for low ESR, high capacitance applications in a variety of commercial and industrial markets.

The ECAS series capacitor has a resin-molded case structure that uses multilayer aluminum foil for the anode and solid conductive polymer for the cathode. This surface mount design can be soldered using traditional reflow methods. The capacitance range of ECAS capacitors offered by Digi-Key is from 6.8µF to 470µF with rated voltages from 2VDC to 16VDC. The case size is 7.3mm by 4.3mm with three thickness options available.
