Kroff Establishes New Venture to Assist Primary Metals Producers

Kroff, Inc., one of the fastest-growing water treatment companies in the United States, has created Kroff Process Technologies, Inc. (KPT) to provide proprietary production process chemicals and technologies to the primary metals industry.

KPT will assist primary metals producers in developing and finishing products with an array of custom chemicals and cutting-edge technologies aimed at optimizing plant efficiencies and reducing costs.

The new enterprise creates a unique, complementary service to the Kroff family of businesses, particularly Kroff Chemical Company, Inc., which provides custom industrial and commercial water treatment chemicals and services that are critical to metal production.  With KPT, Kroff now offers a comprehensive package of treatment and production chemicals that enhance production with custom-designed chemical treatment schemes for water and wastewater.

"The creation of KPT is a natural progression for Kroff," said David Sunderlik, area manager of Kroff, Inc. "Our customers trust and rely on us to provide them with custom chemicals that treat their water and wastewater.  Now, as trusted advisers, we can provide them with the same attention and custom chemicals that will improve their production processes.  In essence, we become part of their production team, providing a single point of contact for all of their chemical needs."

Because many of the chemicals used in metals production end up in a wastewater stream, having one company with expertise in both types of chemistries provides cost efficiencies and process improvements for producers, and eliminates the disconnect that often occurs when separate representatives service one producer.  Kroff Process Technologies streamlines plant efficiencies by providing one representative with the expertise to meeting all of their chemical needs.

"Kroff has always provided excellent customer service, highly-trained and experienced consultants, state-of-the-art technology and specialty chemicals, and we'll continue to do that through this new venture," Sunderlik said. "We're confident in our people and processes, and we're confident that KPT will take our customers' capabilities to the next level."
