Cellect Plastics Changes Name to Cellect Technologies

Cellect Plastics LLC has changed its name to Cellect Technologies LLC and licensed its I-Cell® EVA and PE plastic roll business to XL Foam LLC, a private investor group, announces William P. Ramey, III of Novak Druce + Quigg LLP, attorney for Cellect Technologies and Scott Smith.

Due to the overwhelming global demand for Low Carbon Impact (LCI™) Specialty Foams which include Opflex™ for oil spill cleanup applications, water filtration applications, and other clean water applications along with Microflex® LCI™ for yoga mats and other consumer applications, the customers and markets are better served with the company solely focusing on its low carbon impact technology. In order to better reflect the long term focus on LCI™ foams including Opflex™ The Green Stuff™ in conjunction with its licensing strategy, Cellect Plastics LLC has officially changed its name to Cellect Technologies LLC.

Cellect Technologies LLC is a world leader in specialized foam technology. In addition to developing I-Cell polyolefin foam rolls, Cellect Plastics has also brought to market Propacene® roll products, IXP Low Carbon Impact (LCI™) materials and its latest breakthrough, Opflex ™ “The Green Stuff™” oil absorbing foam products.

Scott Smith, President and owner of Cellect Technologies LLC said “We are excited to work with XL Foam LLC because of their commitment to expand the capacity and capabilities of I-Cell EVA and PE foams in order to further our technology leadership position in adhesive tape, industrial, and medical application segments.”

Smith additionally stated, “The licensing of the I-Cell® EVA and PE business allows us to strengthen our capital position in order to accelerate our Opflex™ expansion which includes the establishment of a global headquarters near the Ocean in Florida, Alabama, or Massachusetts.”
