OSRAM is presenting a completely updated product range for signage and illuminated advertising at Viscom 2010. New products for the major applications of light boxes and signage letters as well as the new IP-protected Linearlight Flex Protect offer customers flexible and high performance solutions for various applications.
The new systems all provide significantly improved efficiency, in particular when it comes to the achievable luminance for each application. Plus, even flatter structures can be homogeneously back-lit with the modules. With sturdy enclosures, including the LED surface covering and at least IP66 protection, the modules are long-lasting and more resistant to external factors.
The new product range is subdivided into two categories: To illuminate light boxes or city light posters there are two solutions - BoxLED Back for lighting from behind and BoxLED Side as a lateral lighting solution. They impress with their superior system efficiency and replace the fluorescent lamps used until now. These systems are suitable for backlighting areas of between approximately 0.25 square metres up to an almost unlimited size and an installation depth of around 60mm upwards.
In the backlighting category the BackLED product line replaces the Backlight products. They are available in three power levels for small/flat, medium-sized and large/deep signage letters. The robust LED chains are characterised particularly by their superior efficiency and durability, which makes them exceptionally economical.
The robust high-performance Linearlight Flex Protect LED module is used in illuminated advertising for lateral coupling of ultraflat displays. The modules equipped with quality LEDs and silicon are ideally protected from contact, dust and moisture thanks to protection system IP 67. The use of very high quality prolonged stable silicon makes the Linearlight Flex Protect especially durable.
To complement the new BoxLED and BackLED product ranges, which are available from the first quarter of 2011, there will be a new family of Optotronic control gear, which matches the new products. The first versions of the Linearlight Flex Protect will soon be available.
