ExxonMobil Chemical is expanding the capacity of its hydrocarbon fluids plant in Antwerp, Belgium.
This expansion will focus on high performance Exxsol™ fluids, including Exxsol™ D, Pentane and Hexane fluids. The project will increase capacity at the plant by 10 percent and strengthen supply reliability. It is expected to be complete in mid-2011.

ExxonMobil Chemical has consistently invested in its hydrocarbon fluids manufacturing, technology and supply-chain capabilities. Recent investments to increase hydrocarbon fluids capacity were made in 2007 at Antwerp and in 2008 at the Singapore Chemical Plant. In 2009, the company began production of new Ultra-Low Aromatic Fluids, using proprietary catalyst technology in Antwerp.
