MISUMI Expands Fixed and Configurable Metric Sized Metal Plates Lines

MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc. (Tokyo: 9962) and a leading provider of fixed and configurable mechanical components for machine building and factory automation systems, has greatly expanded its lines of Fixed and Configurable Metric sized Metal Plates, adding new lines and a multitude of new dimensions and specifications to its existing array of Metal Plates, Blocks and Bars.

The new product additions include:

SS400-CUT – 1018 Carbon Steel Fixed Metric Dimension and Configurable Plates, and
S50C-CUT – 1049 Carbon Steel Fixed Metric Dimension and Configurable Plates. Available in a wide range of sizes. Fixed dimension plates are precision cut to specific lengths, while configurable plates can be ordered in user-specified lengths and widths in 1mm increments. All are precision milled on the sides as well as top and bottom. The precision cut ends are equivalent to a milled surface.

SCM440 – 4140 Alloy Steel Configurable Plates. Tough Chrome Steel and Molybdenum alloy provides excellent toughness, strength and abrasion resistance. Finish options include 6-surface milling or 2-surface rotary grinding.

PSKH51 – M2 Tool Steel Configurable Plates. Available with 6-surface milling or 4-surface milling/2-surface grinding.

A6061 – Aluminum Configurable Plates. The Al-Mg-Si Aluminum Alloy provides higher mechanical strength and corrosion resistance than other grades of aluminum alloy. An addition for the US market due to its popularity here. Surface finish options include precision milling or just the mill finish.

TIF – Titanium Configurable Plates, precision cut with all 6 surfaces milled.

MISUMI has also significantly expanded its lines of Duralumin Configurable Plates made of 2017 Al-Cu Aluminum Alloy, and Super Duralumin Configurable Plates made of 7075 Al-Zn-Mg Aluminum Alloy. There has also been an expansion of larger sizes that have not before been offered in the US from MISUMI.

Shipping time for metal plates typically ranges from four to six days, depending on sizes and specifications to help customers reduce or eliminate the need to stock or wait days for raw materials. Volume discounts are available.
