The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) is holding its 11th Powder Metallurgy Summer School at the Fraunhofer Institute IFAM in Dresden, Germany from Monday, 27th June to Friday, 1st July 2011. Professor Bernd Kieback and his team from the University of Dresden will be hosting the 5 day residential event, which will consist of a range of lectures given by PM experts drawn from both industry and academia.
Topics to be covered will include Manufacture of Metal Powders, Metal Injection Moulding, Modelling, Sintering and Hot Isostatic Pressing to mention a few. Participants will be able to discuss and solve problems as well as get hands on experience of various PM processes in the IFAM laboratories.
Coordinated by Professor José Torralba from the University Carlos III Madrid and Mrs Joan Hallward from the EPMA, the Summer School is designed for young graduate designers, engineers and scientists from disciplines such as materials science, design, engineering , manufacturing or metallurgy. Online registration is now open to graduates who are under 35 and citizens of a European state.
The PM Summer School fee is €425, covering tuition, all course materials and accommodation.
