Provider of stainless steel processing solutions and technologies, KVA Stainless has announced that its proprietary stainless steel structural tubing can now be incorporated into advanced bicycle frames.
The stainless steel structural tubing is an established product in other industries, especially in the automotive industry.
KVA’s stainless steel structural tubing is lightweight and offers enhanced rigidity, strength and better ride properties. It is comparatively cheaper than competitive metal alloys.
KVA Stainless spent several years in research and development to create a proprietary method of converting rolls of stainless steel sheeting into MS2 bicycle tubing that can be used for mountain and road bikes. The company unveiled its MS2 structural tubing at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show.
KVA Stainless produces MS2 structural tubing utilizing prime quality stainless steel alloys produced in the United States. The company employs accurate thermal process technology, welding and modern forming to manufacture tailored butted bicycle tubing. Before the introduction of MS2, stainless steel was used as a frame tubing material and was considered both costly and complex to work with.
