Global provider of nanotechnology based specialty coatings, Industrial Nanotech has completed a series of tests on its patented Nansulate product line for use in specific military applications.
The company has been performing the testing and analysis processes of Nansulate, a nano-based coating material, for many years.
Recently, Industrial Nanotech has been coordinating with a consultant to identify the ideal uses of its patented product in the US Military market. Analysis showed that Nansulate coating can find major applications in the internal walls of armored military tanks and pipelines in ships and submarines that are nuclear powered. The company will work with military associates for implementing the coatings in these areas.
Nansulate offers various benefits such as resistance to chemical, fire and mold growth, prevents corrosion, and provides thermal insulation and lead encapsulation. Nansulate material has been used in various military applications such as Philadelphia-based Naval Business Center for corrosion control, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg for pipe insulation, the U.S. Navy at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for lead encapsulation, and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for metal dock building insulation and corrosion control.
