DYMAX has developed the Multi-Cure 9-20557 coating, exclusively developed for quick conformal coating of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components.
It will cover even the borders of tough-to-wet parts and sharp leads. Its secondary heat-cure aspect enables the curing of coating using heat in those applications where darkened regions subsist.
The Multi-Cure 9-20557 conformal coating can coat thicknesses ranging between 0.002” and 0.020”.The coating material is an average-viscosity substance and is developed to improve lead wetting. It can be used with several models of spraying devices. Its low modulus enables it to outshine in coating applications where performance of heat shock is crucial.
The Multi-Cure 9-20557 avoids several prolonged procedural steps demanded by conventional heat-cure and room-temperature-cure conformal coatings. In addition, after applying the light-curable conformal coatings, dry or rack boards are not required. The coating made on the board stays on it and evaporation or flash off is not needed. After coating and curing, the product is ready or delivery.
DYMAX’s Multi-Cure 9-20557 does not contain any VOC or solvent, avoiding the requirement for solvent-handling procedure. It also improves operators’ safety and reduces ecological effect. Every conformal coating is a single part and can be dispensed easily. The coating material does not contain isocyanate and has received IPC-CC-830 certification. It is UL-certified and MIL-I-46058 listed.
