NuSil Technology Introduces MED-6731 Silicone Grease

A pioneer in silicone compounds, NuSil Technology has announced the launch of MED-6731 fluorosilicone grease for application in the healthcare industry. The MED-6731 is a high-consistency and low-flow silicone grease that comprises a dimethyl methyltrifluoropropylsiloxane copolymer.

MED-6731 - Fluorosilicone Grease

Applications requiring solvent-resistant grease can use the MED-6731 material. It can also be utilized as a high-vacuum grease in ground glass, ceramic and glass joints. In addition, the fluorosilicone grease can be used in places where compatibility problems arise with the use of dimethylpolysiloxane grease in silicone rubber components. The MED-6731 is an ideal solution where movement is a major issue.

Since the majority of rubber components are shaped using dimethyl silicones, it is necessary to use a lubricant that will not get absorbed while coming into contact or swell the components. NuSil Technology’s high-consistency silicone grease is an excellent alternative to lubricants and offers the required swell resistance property. The MED-6731 has undergone testing for the presence of trace metals and cytotoxicity.
