IBC Advanced Alloys has inked an exclusive supply deal with an international company specializing in the production of high-technology assembly devices to deliver engineered parts made from IBC’s Beralcast portfolio of alloys.
As per the deal, IBC and its customer have agreed to assure deliverance and sales certainty from one to three years. The Beralcast’s performance properties, including superior vibration dampening, low coefficient of thermal expansion, high stiffness and ultra-light weight, make it ideal for producing certain parts of semiconductor assembly device and other high-end industrial uses. The alloys’ performance properties improve production efficiencies and sustain superior quality criteria.
The Beralcast portfolio of alloys is suitable for aerospace, military and industrial applications demanding high-stiffness, ultra-light weight and intricate components. The main Beralcast alloy’s stiffness is over threefold of that of aluminum and its weight is also 22% lesser than aluminum. It can be precision-cast to easy and intricate shapes, enabling it a suitable engineered and economical material for an extensive range of intricate commercial and aerospace applications.
The supply deal does not stipulate any minimum ordering level. Thus, if the current and previous ordering levels are sustained, the new order would yield minimum annual sales of $4 million for its Engineered Materials unit.
The President and Chief Executive Officer at IBC, Anthony Dutton stated that the deal is highly important for IBC’s business expansion.
