E&T Plastics, which distributes plastic film, tube, rod and sheet, has completed the year long consolidation of its production operations in Teterboro, New Jersey to a 70,000-square-foot facility that will serve as the primary production plant, distribution center and sales office.
The Teterboro facility features six ultra-speed CNC routers with tool-replacing functionalities. These machineries can manage huge quantities of intricate shapes with high tolerances and quick turnaround time. The facility’s CAD department employs an advanced engineering software to scan samples and sketches and examine computerized design formats.
The facility is also equipped with a robotic painting machine, a diamond edge polishing machine, computerized saws, laser-cutting machine, and pressure and vacuum forming device. It is the eighth location of E&T Plastics. The company started its operations in New York and now has branches in Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Florida and New Jersey.
The VP of Manufacturing at E&T Plastics, Michael Singer commented that the Teterboro facility consolidates the whole production operations under a single roof, resulting in closer process integration, improved factory output and reduced operating expenditures. Moreover, the facility has better accessibility, which reduces logistics expenditures and provides enhanced services for the Northern New Jersey market, he added.
