Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) is now offering a novel EverClean Topcoat with its SHEERFILL architectural membrane. The membrane is characterized by an innovative TiO2 layer designed by TOTO with the help of Hydrotec technology and has been made available for the first time in Russia.
EverClean Topcoat is an innovative self-cleaning coating that helps remove dirt from the membrane surface easily. Several studies and tests have revealed that the EverClean Topcoat when exposed to ultraviolet sunlight decomposes pollutants like dirt, dust, smog and smoke even if they are present in large quantities into nontoxic gases, thus reducing air pollution. The decomposed particles are easily washed away by rain, which ensures that the SHEERFILL architectural membrane remains unspoiled and retains luster for a long time.
The SHEERFILL is a waterproof material and withstands UV rays. It can resist temperatures ranging from -70°C to more than 315°C. The product reduces heat absorption and minimizes surface roof temperatures by decreasing the need for peak cooling by 10%-15% thus minimizing the requirement for air-conditioning. The additional benefits offered by the EverClean Topcoat have attracted a wide range of significant projects, including Canada Place Harbor in Vancouver and Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas. SHEERFILL is the first architectural membrane that has received Energy Star-rating and Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) certification.
The SHEERFILL roofing product offer about 25 years of useful service life compared to single-ply rubber, asphalt shingles and other traditional roofing materials. Use of the SHEERFILL membrane with EverClean Topcoat offers eco-friendly benefits, saves cleaning costs and protects long-term construction investments.
