Chemtura has declared that it has established a new service called AdipreneDirect that reconnects the Urethane business of Chemtura with its customers involved in the production of hot-cast polyurethanes.
AdipreneDirect, a novel service from Chemtura, will allow the company to serve its customers in the North American region directly. Earlier, they were served via a third-party distributor. The company will officially launch the new service in August 2011.
Through AdipreneDirect, Chemtura will offer its various products, including the 1, 4-Butanediol curatives, Royalcast, Vibracure, Ethacure, Caytur, Duracure, Fomrez polyester polyols, Vibrathane and Adiprene prepolymers.
The new service allows Chemtura’s customers to quote orders, obtain technical support and get different products and services provided by the Urethanes business of the company. A representative of AdipreneDirect will contact Chemtura’s customers in North America to know their specific requirements and help in the transition process.
Matthew Hellstern, who serves as General Manager and President of Chemtura’s Urethanes Business, stated that after trying various possibilities, the company has identified the optimal solution to offer the best service to its customer base in the hot-cast polyurethane business.
Hellstern further said that as Chemtura is a large manufacturer of a wide range of complex specialty materials, handling small-to medium-size deals is a unique challenge to the company. The company believes that the new AdipreneDirect concept optimizes the prospective value for both the company and its customers, he concluded.
