Ellsworth Adhesives, one of the world's largest distributors of adhesive products and equipment, has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of HumiSeal UV40-Solar conformal coatings that is ideal for photovoltaic applications.
HumiSeal offers a full line of certified products and the company manufactures UV cure, silicone, epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic conformal coatings.
The UV40-Solar products are mainly designed for the solar industry. They are developed to protect photovoltaic cells, especially concentrator photovoltaic cells. Major benefits offered by the new HumiSeal coating technology include higher efficiencies, lower cost and smaller size than the standard photovoltaic cells. The UV-40 Solar conformal coatings do not fade or disappear over time, when they are exposed to sunlight for an extended period. The coatings also meet the SAE-J-1960 as well as QUV accelerated age testing requirements.
Global President of Ellsworth Adhesives’ Specialty Chemical Distribution, Mike McCourt stated that the addition of HumiSeal product line enables the company to better serve its existing and new clients in the industry.
