Asahi Kasei Plastics North America based in Fowlerville, Michigan has secured ‘Supplier of the Year’ award from Lexington, Kentucky-based Schneider Electric at its annual North America Supplier Conference conducted in April 2011.
Schneider Electric presented the award to Asahi Kasei Plastics North America based on the criteria, including responsiveness, planet responsibility, competitiveness, productivity, logistics and quality.
Asahi Kasei Plastics North America supplies engineering plastic resins such as Xyron modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE) to Schneider Electric for manufacturing battery cases, nozzles, control boxes, fuse box components, electrical switches/plugs and electrical outlets and photovoltaic components. XYRON engineering resins, TENAC acetals, mPPE, THERMYLENE polypropylenes, THERMYLON nylons, LEONA are some of the company’s brands, which are custom formulated to tackle difficult engineering problems.
The President at Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, John Moyer stated that he is pleased to receive the award on behalf of the company and is proud about the company’s Michigan team for its commitment towards advancement and customer service.
