BASF will exhibit its latest coatings solutions for automotive, industrial and architectural applications at the Western Coatings Conference and Show to be conducted from 24 to 26 October 2011 at the Mirage Hotel and Casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Three presentations will be delivered by the BASF executives in the conference. Latoska Price, who serves as Technical Manager of Architectural Coatings, will deliver a presentation titled, ‘Competitive Advantages with Innovative and Trend-Setting Pigment Technologies for Formulators,’ and Technical Group Leader of Formulations, Nilanjan Chakrabarti will deliver a presentation titled, ‘High Hide, Low VOC Universal Colorants for Architectural Coatings.’
Kevin Milks, Applications Chemist, and Greg Stopher, Technical Director of PT Hutchins, will present under the title, ‘Concrete Sealers and Coatings: A Clear Approach to Consistent Evaluation.’
BASF will display its latest chemistry, ingredients and knowledge, including formulation additives technologies of its subsidiary Cognis. The products are Kaolin performance mineral solutions and functional extenders, superior-efficiency rheology modifiers and defoamers, pigment solutions for volatile organic compound-free liquid dispersions and heat management and Acronal Optive latex for improved efficiency of titanium dioxide.
The Vice President of Business Management for Pigments at BASF North America, Andrea Frenzel stated that the Western Coatings Show is a key industry event, as it concentrates on the latest developments, including latest formulations, in the industry. BASF offers eco-efficient and sustainable solutions that fulfill or surpass process needs to the industry, Frenzel added.
