Analytik Jena UK’s ZEEnit 650 P transversely heated graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) includes both D2 background correction techniques and third generation Zeeman magnetic field technology for an excellent analytical capability.
Improved sensitivities and extensive dynamic range can be facilitated following the integration of a unique three-field mode with the conventional two-field approach, thereby reducing sample preparation time and improving sample throughput.
The system facilitates the advantages of Zeeman background correction to be optimized for all the elements as it is has been provided with the capability and flexibility of selecting the suitable magnetic field strength. Optimization requires the integration of 2-field with field off or on and 3-field with field off, medium or high methodologies. This results in models having two measurement signals for each measurement cycle and facilitates two calibration curves.
The calibrations exist across two orders of magnitude and this facilitates the system to make measurements. The assessments carried out by the system have higher concentrations compared to using graphite furnace AAS. This facilitates fully automated measurements to be achieved at varying elements concentrations, eliminating the need for dilution. This requires only atomization and a single sample injection. Hence the sample preparation time has significantly been reduced with considerable increase in sample throughput.
Fully-automated processing of bulk volumes of samples of diverse contents can be facilitated with fully automated optimization of the magnetic field necessitated by the process.
