The full programme has now been finalised for the annual European powder metallurgy congress (Euro PM2012), which will take place in Basel, Switzerland, 16th - 19th September.
Forty members of the Technical Committee met in Basel on 23rd February to structure a busy 3-day programme focusing on the key PM sectors of "Hard Materials & Diamond Tooling", "Powder Injection Moulding", "Hot Isostatic Pressing" and - a first for a Euro PM event - "PM Applications and New Processes".
Delegates registering for the event in September, organised by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), will also be able to take the opportunity to participate in Special Interest Seminars of invited papers on:
"New Opportunities for PM in the Emerging Markets of Renewable Energy"
"Material Properties & Material Selection for Hot Isostatic Pressing"
"Titanium in Powder Injection Moulding" and
"Modelling & Application of Hard Materials"
as well as EPMA working and special sector group meetings, which are scheduled to coincide with the event.
'This will be the key Powder Metallurgy (PM) industry event in Europe for people with an interest in PM and associated sectors to attend', explained Frances Holland, Congress Manager. She went onto add 'The focused style Euro PM Congress & Exhibition takes place once every six years, making it an event not to be missed.'
The Euro PM2012 Congress & Exhibition Technical Programme brochure, including exhibition listings, social events, factory tours and registration/accommodation forms, will be available in late April from www.epma.com/pm2012.
