Garland Canada, a provider of solutions for the commercial building industry, now offers Insul-Lock E HR, a highly elastomeric, foamable, VOC-compliant roof insulation adhesive. This material offers all the advantages of a two-component urethane adhesive.
The product is formulated using 45% of renewable resources and this creates a new industry standard for the use of significantly renewable content. Thus, with the use of Insul-Lock E HR, a building can earn maximum green building credits.
The Insul-Lock E HR adhesive decreases the chances of moisture entry and structural damage and also lessens the interruption of internal operations. This increases the life of the waterproofing products, as well as eliminates the requirement for deck fasteners and penetrations. As the adhesive has low odor, it is ideal for hospitals, schools and other environmentally conscious facilities. Insul-Lock E HR features a unique packaging with special static mixing nozzle, which prevents the risk of inappropriate mixing. The adhesive can be applied easily and quickly without mixing. In addition, it gets cured in few minutes over a broad range of temperatures.
Garland Canada’s Insul-Lock E HR insulation adhesive bonds to a wide range of substrates, including properly prepared graveled surfaces, insulation board layers, approved base sheets and structural decks. The company also offers a unique water-based primer, Insul-Lock HR Universal Primer, to prepare heavily oxidized surfaces. The Insul-Lock E HR material is available in 1.5 L cartridges and the adhesive can be applied using various battery-powered or pneumatic single- or multi-bead applicators. Ultra-portable manual applicators can be used for smaller projects.
