Novagard Solutions, a supplier of silicone and other products, has unveiled three NOVAGARD UV staking compounds that can be used in printed circuit board applications.
These new UV curable staking compounds, NOVAGARD UV 800-230, 800-400 and 800-305, will complement Novagard’s line of ultraviolet dual cure and ultraviolet light-curable silicone products that are used as potting compounds, conformal coatings, inks, gasketing and encapsulating compounds and gels as well as thermally or electrically conductive products.
NOVAGARD UV 800-230, a UV curing sealant, contains no corrosive byproducts, no oxygen inhibition and exhibits controlled rheology. This single component sealant will cure to a solid rubber at rapid speed at the time of exposure to ultraviolet radiation at room temperature.
Novagard RTV 800-400, a UV cure, single component sealant, has no oxygen inhibition and exhibits controlled rheology. This silicone translucent paste sealant is a solvent-free product that will cure to a solid rubber when exposed to ultra-violet light at room temperature.
Novagard UV 800-305, a UV/dual cure adhesive and sealant, has no oxygen inhibition and exhibits controlled rheology. This single-component silicone translucent paste sealant is a solvent free product that cures to a solid rubber while being exposed to ultra-violet light at room temperature. It contains a secondary moisture cure component that helps to develop adhesion for a wide range of substrates.
Novagard UV products blends various advantages of silicone, including low or high temperature performance and persistence, with the speeds of UV curing sealant empowered by the patented UV cure chemistry of Novagard Solutions. They are primarily utilized in manufacturing automotive, medical and electronic components.
