International Workshop on Smart Materials and Structures, SHM and NDT for the Energy Industry

The best and brightest in nondestructive testing (NDT), smart materials, and structural health monitoring (SHM) are invited to present at and attend the premier international technical conference of 2013.

The International Workshop on Smart Materials and Structures, SHM and NDT for the Energy Industry in conjunction with the NDT in Canada 2013 Conference will be held at the Coast Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) from October 7-10, 2013. The Canadian Institute for NDE (CINDE), The Cansmart Group (CANSMART), and the Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing (IZFP) are partnering to bring this internationally recognized conference program to Calgary, Alberta.

The conference will bring together the most influential, cutting-edge, and innovative minds in NDT to Calgary, Alberta to stimulate discussion, engagement, and exploration among all attendees. The conference will address the latest developments of NDT, smart materials, and SHM such as new applications and approaches for energy harvesting; SHM with various types of sensors, actuators and control monitoring systems; impact damage detection on composites; non-destructive monitoring and testing of pipelines, reservoirs, and tanks; inspection robotics; image processing; data fusion; radiography, ultrasonics, liquid penetrant testing, acoustic emission, or Eddy current for crack detection and many more topics.

This conference will be the premiere NDT event in Canada and is definitely not an event to be missed!
