The XRF service organization, Eastern Applied Research, has officially added service and support of handheld x-ray fluorescence analyzers to the list of services it provides. These portable XRF analyzers have grown in popularity in many industries for their positive material identification (PMI) capabilities.
No matter how rugged a system, all handheld x-ray fluorescence models will require routine maintenance/calibration and potentially repair services. So, as handheld XRF usage has increased, Eastern Applied has seen an increased demand for service options outside of the original equipment manufacturer.
“In recent years, we slowly began providing calibration services and then repairs of handheld XRF systems,” noted Robert Moll, General Manager of Eastern Applied Research. “We have access to the critical components and our technical staff has the experience where we can provide another option for organizations that require efficient service and support of these systems. That is what we are about, giving XRF users another option for service.”
Recently named a distributor of the Oxford Instruments handheld line, the organization is pleased to provide a resource when an update, or upgrade, in field portable x-ray fluorescence should be considered. However, the goal of the service/support team will continue to be focused on providing a fast response time with the most cost-efficient solution possible.
For over twenty years, Eastern Applied Research has provided x-ray fluorescence service for all major XRF analyzers along with sales of XRF for coating thickness measurement and material analysis needs.
