Eastern Applied Research Inc. adds Oxford Instruments Coating Thickness Measurement Technology to its Offering

Eastern Applied Research, Inc is pleased to announce the addition of two technologies for coating thickness measurement to its product line.

Recently named a regional distributor of Oxford Instruments, the XRF sales and service company will now offer the complete line of eddy-current and magnetic thickness gauges plus both versions of X-Strata x-ray fluorescence analyzers.

Over the organizations twenty plus years providing service and support to all brands of x-ray fluorescence, Eastern Applied Research has looked forward to having an opportunity to become involved with the quality of Oxford Instruments on a distributor level.  The X-Strata 920 and 980 analyzers allow Eastern Applied to offer another x-ray fluorescence option for organizations that require precise measurements of coating thickness in quality control.  Developed for ease-of-use, the streamlined software package of both systems will allow users to quickly obtain accurate measurements and seamlessly generate detailed reports.

In addition to coating thickness applications, the X-Strata XRF line offers versatility in quality control interests.  “Repeatable and precise results on everything we tested with it,” noted Eastern Applied Research’s Director of Business Development, Shawn Kramer.  “From compositional analysis, to RoHS testing, and thin film measurements, the X-Strata 980 really impressed us.  We couldn’t be happier that we are able to offer the line.”

Knowing that not all metal finishing applications require XRF technology, Eastern Applied Research has also earned the opportunity to offer Oxford Instruments magnetic and eddy-current coating thickness gauges.  The simple to use gauges can provide reliable measurements of paint and powder coatings, electroplating and metal coatings, circuit boards, and more.  The large variety of gauges and probes are ideally suited to measure coatings over ferrous and non-ferrous substrates, even on small, oddly shaped, or textured surfaces.

For over twenty years, Eastern Applied Research has provided x-ray fluorescence solutions for coating thickness measurement and material analysis needs.
