metalweb, which has been one of the UK’s leading stockists of specialist metals since 2001, has opened its first facility in Northern Ireland.
metalweb’s new location, which became operational today, is in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland, and will feature the high standards of quality and service associated with metalweb. The metalweb employees have been recruited locally and the team will serve the growing demand in Northern Ireland and Eire.
As with metalweb’s other facilities in Birmingham, Manchester, Oxford and Hoddeson, the Kilkeel operations will hold local metal stocks, including aluminium and steel. Plate and bar saw cutting facilities are already installed on site.
Bruce Maggs, Managing Director, metalweb, said: “We’re pleased to have found such an ideal location for metalweb’s expansion. It was important to have identified facilities easily accessible to both Northern Ireland and Eire – this proximity means we’re ideally placed to provide fast turnaround to meet the demands of Irish customers.
“The location has also helped in our recruitment process, meaning we’ve been able to attract high-quality employees with the expertise to service existing customers and to further develop the client base.
“This new metalweb location is a first step in Ireland, reflecting our optimism and marks another exciting stage in the progression of the metalweb Group.”
