BASF Names Four Distributors for Diols and Polyalcohols Product Lines

BASF Corporation has named four distributors to have territorial exclusivity as its distribution sales channel for the Diols and Polyalcohols product lines BASF offers to the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers (CASE) markets in North America.

The products included in this exclusive arrangement for the CASE segment are Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol (PolyTHF®), 1,6-Hexanediol (HDO®), Caprolactone (CLO), Capromer™ Polyols (PolyCLO), and 1,5-Pentanediol (PDO).

This distribution network was effective as of October 1, 2013 and includes the following distributors:

  • Brenntag Specialties Inc. – Northeast region
  • Ribelin Sales – South central region
  • GMZ – Midwest/Ohio valley region
  • Horn – Western region

“Selections were made based on the distributor’s strength in a particular region as well as their expertise in the CASE segment. We are very pleased with this new arrangement and look forward to working closely with our distributors,” said Subu Natesan, Ph.D., Business Manager, Polyalcohols & Specialties, BASF Intermediates division.
