The New VeraSol Solar Simulator from Oriel Instruments

Oriel Instruments announce the release of the new VeraSol 3A LED Solar Simulator.

The VeraSol is designed specifically to meet the needs of the PV research market.  VeraSol is an innovative new solar simulator that is factory certified IEC60904-9 AAA Rated, provides full spectral conformity (Class A) ±25% in every band, high uniformity (Class A) < 2% every wavelength, and high stability (Class A) < 2%.

The output beam size is 2”X2” (51 mm X 51 mm) and is constant wave illumination (as opposed to flash). The LED provides long bulb life (>10,000 hours), instant on (<100 milliseconds), variable output adjustment from zero to 1.1 suns, and has a novel way for the user to control the spectra using the dedicated controller or by computer through the USB port.

The VeraSol features a novel dual laser to allow you to adjust to optimum sample height, and a multi-positioning head for flexible mounting orientation.
