Olympus have launched their handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer called the DELTA Element. The device is ideal for positive material identification (PMI), scrap metal sorting, precious metals and alloy QA/QC analysis.
The DELTA Element XRF analyzer is a simple device which provides the user with precision as well as speed. It enables the specific chemical analysis of materials within a matter of seconds for the identification of pure metals and alloy grades.
The new XRF analyzer is robust and designed with a rubberized grip, heavy-duty Kapton window and rubber overmolds which enable optimal performance in harsh industrial conditions.
Other features such as the Grade Match Messaging in the DELTA Element enable the transmitting of important alerts as well as data to the operator, thereby aiding the alloy sorting and verification process.
This feature can be customized by designating a message to any grade, giving operators real-time messages to aid sorting of alerts, instructions, substitute grade names, or other useful data, thus enabling better throughput and usability.
The lightweight DELTA Element makes it easy to hold and operate for various applications such as the identification and analysis of elemental alloys and metals in scrap recycling, PMI, QA/QC, and jewelry/precious metals.
