SGL Carbon Win 27million Euro Contract to Supply Aust. Magnesium Operations

SGL Carbon has just won a contract to supply Australian Magnesium Organisation with corrosion protection equipment for their plant in Stanwell, Australia.

The supply contract worth 27 million euros is the largest contract in SGL’s history.

SGL will provide Australian Magnesium with a complete hydrochloric acid synthesis unit (methane chloride synthesis process) as well as 42 high performance graphite pumps for suited to large scale magnesium production. The parts will be provided by SGL Carbon’s subsidiary SGL Acotec or Germany.
