Nippon Metal to Open Shanghai Office

In response to growing Chinese demand for specialty steel products, Nippon Metal Industry, based in Tokyo, will open an office in Shanghai to cater for the need. The office is expected to open later this month.

Nippon Metal has been selling ordinary stainless steel into China for the food and construction industries. With the establishment of the new office they are about to embark on a market push for high end specialty stainless steel products, such as wear and heat resistant grades which are claimed to be in demand.

These grades are used in applications such as power generation equipment, environmental protection equipment and electronic and magnetic materials.
