Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies was recently named as one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine. Created in 2006, this awards program is a project of the Society for Human Resource Management - Maine State Council (MESHRM) and Best Companies Group. Partners endorsing the program include: Mainebiz, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and Maine HR Convention.
This statewide survey and awards program are designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce, and businesses. The 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine list is made up of companies in three size categories: small (15-49 U.S. employees), medium (50-249 U.S. employees) and large (250+ U.S. employees).
Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies was honored with this designation in 2017, and again in 2019. “It is a privilege to be named among this list of outstanding Maine companies. Our team has pulled together this year, especially during the pandemic, and recent acquisition, to prove their commitment to this company, and for us to prove our commitment to this hardworking team.” – Kent Peterson, CEO Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies.
“Fluid Imaging Technologies was acquired by Yokogawa Electric Corporation of Japan in early April 2020. Despite the global pandemic, their interest in pursuing the acquisition during this period is a strong signal about the value we offer, both in our technology and within our human capital. There are no plans to shift resources or move our manufacturing facility away from Maine” – says Cybèle Brooks, Director of Marketing.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
The full list of companies and how they rank will be revealed in a special supplement produced by MaineBiz in their October 19th issue.
