Jadoo Power Systems has announced that it has won the Comstock's Magazine "Vanguard Award." The Vanguard Award recognizes outstanding corporations that are working to enhance the region's quality of life with their products and services. Jadoo was honored under the category of Innovators of Fuel Independence.
Now in its 12th year, Comstock's Vanguard program is co-sponsored by SMUD PriceWaterhousCoopers, as well as other local, national and international firms. This year's awards were presented by Jack Crawford, Jr., Founder and General Partner of Velocity Venture Capital, which has established a venture fund focused on Sacramento-area companies. Mr. Crawford's awards presentation focused on companies with the right formula to succeed in today's "Innovation Economy." He stated that Jadoo's "position in the industry is a nice claim to fame for the Capital region, one that's likely to improve as the company grows into consumer markets."
Jadoo's President and CEO, Larry Bawden, accepted the award at a ceremony at the California Museum of History in Sacramento, California. "It is a great honor to be recognized by Comstock's Magazine for our efforts in commercializing hydrogen fuel cell power systems," said Mr. Bawden. "Clearly, energy independence is an issue of utmost importance and Jadoo plans to lead the way. To be recognized for this award is justification for all the hard work done by our team at Jadoo."
