Industrial Power Control
AMETEK Solidstate Controls (Solidstate) was established in 1962 with the purpose of providing continuity of power to businesses. This was accomplished with UPS (uninterruptible power supplies), industrial batteries, power conditioners, and much more. While our products have advanced with the movement of times, our focus has not. We now serve more than 50,000 systems around the world.
Reliable Energy Products
Industrial process and power generating businesses are subject to severe consequences when power problems occur. Human safety, the environment and lost revenue are at stake. Our 20+ years MTBF (mean time between failure) – based on actual field experience with routine maintenance – is the highest available rating in the industry. This technology allows you to reliably keep operations running at a very low cost for the 40-year expected life of the equipment.

Design and Build – With Short Lead Times
Each system is designed and built to order. Using Mass Customization leading edge technologies, together we create and ship custom systems. Coupled with the most modern manufacturing capabilities in the world, totally custom systems can be designed and manufactured in as little as 48 hours.
WINUPS®, a configurator software program, was developed by Solidstate to significantly improve your custom design and procurement process. It enables you to configure a UPS system in minutes, and obtain complete and accurate information immediately. Using the Solidstate’s UPSCAD® system, the schematic and outline drawings can also be created in minutes and transmitted to you for review/approval, even before you place an order. Our UPSMAN software gives us the capability to automatically create a custom Operation/Instruction manual for the specific equipment you have purchased using the output data from the WINUPS program.
