ARMATEX®

The company’s ARMATEX® range of coated textiles and fabrics have a broad range of uses including welding protection. This range comprises of a variety of different fabrics that all offer various benefits, including vermiculite and silicone, which are extensively used in welding protection.

The fabrics, coated with vermiculite or silicone, are particularly engineered for use in environments that need flame and heat resistance. This makes them ideal for welding curtains used to contain the weld environment as well as protect any passersby from weld splatter. As these fabrics have excellent resistance against molten splash, sparks, and flame impingement, they are an obvious option for use in welding protection. These properties are helpful for welding blankets that need a high level of heat resistance to safeguard the welder and any machinery around the weld.

As a solution to welding protection, ARMATEX® Coated Fabrics are available in weights ranging from 7 oz to 100 oz, and the base materials include both silica and fiberglass.
