IKA Pilotina MI - The Impact Mill System
This model is suitable for disintegrating brittle and hard materials e.g. seeds, ore, glass or coal.
Disintegration of the product takes place rapidly because of the fast rotating impact rotor and the milling space. It is also possible to accurately alter the final fineness through the sieve that is placed in the milling chamber. Surfaces with superior quality allow for easy cleaning after the milling process.
IKA Pilotina MC - The Cutting Mill System
This cutting mill system is ideal for disintegrating fibrous, elastic, sticky or smooth materials that include food pellets, plastics and plant parts to name a few.
The system’s design guarantees superior milling quality, rapid and easy cleaning, and accurately defined final fineness. The Pilotina MC is considered to be the ideal pilot plant machine, thanks to its powerful 1.5 kW drive. Accurate cutting quality is achieved even under high load because of the counter bearing that is conically borne in the milling chamber door.
IKA Pilotina MU - The Universal Mill
This cutting mill system is an integration of MI and MC. It is ideal for multiple milling tasks like cutting and impact mill.
The system’s modular design allows executing an effortless modification from impact to cutting mill and vice versa within a short period. The benefit of using this system is that it is just one machine performing two milling principles and yet maintains a good quality. The tool’s circumferential speed can be altered to match the milling process in an optimum manner.

The Pilotina MI impact mill system and the Pilotina MC cutting mill system can be easily operated. After powering on the system using the main switch, only two extra buttons are needed to start and stop the milling system. The particle size in both the systems can be adjusted with the help of the sieve. Only manual intervention is needed to just insert or replace them instead of using tools. This simple step allows the Pilotina to serve as a reproducible end product with superior quality.
The Pilotina MU universal dry mill is recommended for applications that need a broad range of products. This system is capable of being used for both milling and cutting processes. It also provides the option to alter the speed of the tool to configure the machine to the material being processed in an optimal manner.
IKA focuses on the safety of a user despite the various customer requirements for the machine. This is the reason why the Pilotina can only be started with the door closed, and it is also the reason why the machine’s door cannot be opened when the tool is moving. The user is prevented from coming in contact with the milling tool due to the inlet’s design and the discharge of the Pilotina.
