However, primarily, the IKA MATRIX realizes excellent mixing with the highest possible ease of use in several laboratory applications. The reason is the new thermoshakers also feature IKA’s intuitive menu navigation, thereby making laboratory work simpler and more practical.
The MATRIX series also impresses with its automatic attachment detector and easy quick release for swapping inserts and attachments safely and rapidly. Such strong and highly stable devices can, based on the model, automatically regulate the speed of the orbital movements to correspond to the insert, the attachment and corresponding fill volume.

Flexible Thanks to a Great Variety of Accessories and Attachments
An extensive range of exchangeable attachments allows the thermoshakers to be flexibly adapted to various needs and applications. Sample vessels with various volumes, as well as microtiter plates and deep well plates can be blended and tempered.
A firm quick-release fastener enables the attachments to be exchanged easily while ensuring they are optimally fixed for efficient temperature transfer. Moreover, the MATRIX units automatically recognize which attachment has been chosen by the user.
Based on the experimental setup, the insulated and heated lid “ThermoCover” guarantees homogeneous sample temperatures, avoids condensation and ensures a constant sample concentration in the reaction vessels.
