Scribing Reinvented. The FlipScribe® enables users to view and position front side targets while scribing the back. The FlipScribe is a rapid, accurate, cost-effective, stable and compact scribing solution; ideal for any lab, and without the need for utilities. Scribing accuracy can be attained without causing any damage to the sample surface using a fixed, robust diamond scribe which is incorporated into a sample platform with a fence guide design.
Benefits
The key benefits of the FlipScribe are as follows:
- No Scribe damage to the front of the sample
- Flexible with respect to sample shape and dimensions and material
- Scribing Accuracy ±200 µm (achievable)
- Allows for precise and repeatable downsizing
- Capable of scribing bonded crystalline and amorphous wafers and chips for subsequent cleaving
- Enables accurate cleaving through frontside targets with a scribe made on the backside of the substrate
- Assures a straight and fine scribe line for clean, straight cleaves
- Quick and simple to use
