The Pi Mobile In-Process system from Vision Analytical is an advanced dynamic image analyzer integrated into an Analysis Module controlled by a portable battery-powered control unit on a tether.
The system is ideal for applications in which it is equally crucial to monitor the diameter and the shape of raw materials for on-line processes. It is vital to ensure the same morphology so that the efficacy of the final product is guaranteed in several crystallization processes.
The use of a high-resolution analytical tool with the ability to provide maximum information about raw materials—for example, crystals that are formed over time—is very important. The Pi Mobile IPS has been engineered specifically to support raw material manufacturing processes that necessitate real-time feedback to make crucial process decisions.
The system can draw a sealed sample from a process or reactor for direct analysis and return the analyzed sample back into the process, or to waste. The raw material is analyzed “on-line,” without any interruption, next to the process or reactor.
The system is portable, thus enabling the Analysis Module to be easily detached from one process and reconnected to another without any interruption or considerable modification of customer resources. Minimal dead-volume of sample is ensured by connecting the analysis module through a tether, which enables it to be close to the process while the control unit offers the user unrestricted access to the process.
A powerful battery with a smart charger/controller powers the system, thus maintaining the battery fully charged all the time. This enables an uninterrupted duty cycle of 24/7/365.
An all-in-one touchscreen computer controls the performance of the instrument and helps monitor the analysis of the raw materials.
