Hardinge’s new Hauser™ 2000—the successor to the H35-400 version—is a universal jig grinder with established technical features, like automatic pallet changer (APC), automatic grinding tool changer (ATC), and automatic taper grinding.

The Hauser 2000 can be easily expanded to an autonomous grinding unit. It not only fulfills the market demand for integrated grinding and hard milling on a solo jig grinder but also allows additional enhancements in machining accuracy to fulfill upcoming needs. The dual-frame design is the main technical feature in the Hauser 2000. It significantly boosts the rigidity of the grinder and thus guarantees a uniform higher precision.

The machining head in this box-type design is centrally positioned inside the machine frame, thus allowing optimal control of machining forces. Virtually no transverse forces—the prerequisite for ultra-high geometric precision machining—are produced. Since the tool machining point is situated at the core of the machine, almost all effects of thermal expansion are prevented.

With considerably greater rigidity and higher dynamic axis movements, the Hauser 2000 provides the most optimal conditions for finishing with hard precision milling. This ultimately boosts productivity for the ultra-precise grinding procedures on the machine as well as for hard milling.

Controls

FANUC Series 30i

  • Maximum number of paths: 10–15 path
  • Maximum number of concurrent control axes: 24 axes
  • Maximum total number of control axes:
    • 72 axes (56 feed axes, 16 spindles)/15 path
    • 96 axes (72 feed axes, 24 spindles)/10 path

Thanks to the major capability of this model, a sophisticated multi-axis machine tool can be realized. Due to several control axes, numerous machining procedures can be performed simultaneously. The five-axis machining function of the model is capable of machining complex shapes and has the flexibility to manage different kinds of machine tools.

FANUC Series 31i

  • Maximum number of paths: 6 path
  • Maximum total number of control axes: 34 axes

(26 feed axes and 8 spindles)

  • Maximum number of simultaneous control axes: 4 axes

This represents the core model of FANUC CNC, delivering the world’s highest level of performance. With rich functions and highly precise, high-speed, and high-quality machining technology, it is ideal for a high-grade machining center.
