Robust Forge 5GigE Camera Platform

Based on an innovative camera platform, the Forge is designed to support a feature and sensor set to enable the quick and simple construction of powerful and robust systems. It provides flexible link speeds and the capacity to exceed 5GigE performance and control data transfer to its host.

The Forge offers features for simple integration, a smooth transition from 1GigE systems, and support for various SDKs and software packages compatible with GigE Vision, designed with OEMs in mind.

Overview

Building Trustworthy and Robust Systems, Quicker

Forge is built on a brand-new platform that aims to provide the most comprehensive on-camera pre-processing capabilities, utilize the most cutting-edge sensors available, and facilitate the Trigger-to-Image Reliability framework so that users can quickly create reliable systems.

Beyond 5GigE Performance

The Forge supports 1, 2.5, and 5GigE link speeds in addition to burst mode, which allows images to be captured into memory at up to 10 Gb/s. Engineers can combine this with a 500 MB image buffer to manage data transfer without overloading the host.

Simple Integration

OEM integration is more manageable with features like PoE, robust thermal management, and opto-isolated triggering for streamlined peripherals and more straightforward camera control. With Forge, users can improve system performance without modifying the application software.

Forge supports the Teledyne Spinnaker and Sapera SDKs, as well as software packages that are GigE Vision compliant.
