The Teledyne IIS Dragonfly® S camera series was created to enable modularity and simplicity. It empowers vision system designers by allowing them to create custom camera configurations that precisely meet their requirements. It provides essential machine vision features while maintaining camera reliability.

Its compact, cost-effective design speeds up development and simplifies part selection, making it ideal for at-scale manufacturing, volume-driven applications, and multi-camera systems.

Dragonfly S is compatible with a wide range of image sensors from industry leaders, including onsemi®, Sony®, and Teledyne e2v®, ensuring high-quality imaging performance for various vision applications.

Lightweight and Compact Design

The Dragonfly S’s small size and lightweight aluminum case contribute to its portability. It is available in designs ranging from board-level to fully-cased models to satisfy the requirements of various imaging systems.

Simple Integration

Cased models meet EMC Class B standards, reducing the need for further shielding in EMI-sensitive environments. Small electronics connect directly to USB power, eliminating unnecessary cabling and simplifying system design for portable applications.

Built-in Reliability

Universal locking adapters relieve strain on the micro-B USB connector, and onboard image buffering guarantees that every frame is reliably transferred to the host CPU.

Modular Options

Dragonfly S can support up to 20 camera configurations for each image sensor. Options are available for:

Having worked with multiple Teledyne IIS camera series for over a decade, I had high expectations for the Dragonfly series as an upgrade to one of the existing camera lines we use in our high-performance Eye-tracking systems. I'm pleased to say that it not only met but exceeded our expectations. The Dragonfly's flexible configurations made it very straightforward to integrate into our existing workflow. The Dragonfly provides a cost-effective solution to our need for high-quality machine vision cameras and has become an invaluable asset for our Eye-tracking systems.
