Sheet and board counters work on a similar principle in order to minimize the amount of manual work required, while also minimizing the counting errors that can occur within the industry. Using video technology, sheet and board counters recognize and count each individual sheet within a stack of a sample. Through the use of a mounted camera attached to a motorized track, sheet and board counters capture the image of the edges of the sheets as the camera travels from the bottom to the top of the stack. These devices combine a high-speed counting ability and a specific acuity in order to ensure the precision of each analyzed sample.
