Amphenol Industrial Operations, a manufacturer of high reliability connectors and interconnection systems, has introduced Amphe-Armor - a new series of over-molded rugged circular connectors designed for demanding applications and harsh environments.
These tough field-installable, field-repairable connectors have a water-tight construction, and offer exceptional durability. In addition to their high-impact glass-filled thermoplastic over-molded housing, the IP67 rated Amphe-Armor connectors feature a solder wire termination and heavy duty coupling nut. Their rugged design makes them ideal for a wide range of applications with equipment employed in geophysical, machine tool, railway and motor control environments and energy control systems, meteorology and water treatment plants.
Amphe-Armor Series connectors operate across the broad temperature range -55ºC to +125ºC (-67ºF to 267ºF) and are available in a variety of shell sizes and contacts with either a PT or a GT insert option. Amphenol’s PT miniature bayonet connectors offer twice the number of contacts in just half the size of a standard connector whilst the GT reverse bayonet coupling connectors have an audible and tactile full mating feature for positive coupling assurance. The GT versions are also available as Amphe-Power™ connectors with RADSOK® technology, which can handle up to 50% higher amperages than MS-standard products, or from 50 Amps to over 1,000 Amps of continuous duty.
Amphenol Industrial Operations offers its Amphe-Armor connectors in a choice of colour components for product customisation.
