Consarc Forms a Division Dedicated to Photovoltaics

Consarc Corporation, an Inductotherm Group (IG) Company, has announced the formation of a new division dedicated solely to the Photovoltaic (PV) industry. Consarc, coordinated with the efforts of other IG companies, will apply its 45+ years of experience in advanced vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnace technologies to the mass production and processing of solar grade silicon.

Consarc’s new PV division will be located at their worldwide headquarters in Rancocas, NJ USA. The newly formed engineering department will maintain the most modern engineering design tools available in our industry, including the latest solid modeling and engineering software of both a general and proprietary nature. With the coordinated efforts of the IG companies, Consarc owns and has the rights to a number of IG patents related to the melting, refining, solidification and heating of extremely pure alloys and semiconductors.
