PowdermatriX, one of the key influencers in the Powder Processing Sector, is calling for a coherent and clear vision for the future of rapid manufacturing of powder metal and ceramic components.
Key workers in free forming technology will present their view of the impact of current and future developments on production processes for ceramics, powder metallurgy, hard metals and magnetic products.
The meeting is taking place at the International Manufacturing Centre, Warwick University on Wednesday 26 May. As well as helping to set the programme for future development, delegates will also look at direct melt manufacture of metal components and selective sand sintering technology for ceramic items.
Bob Blake, PowdermatriX Technology Translator, explained: “We have had a lot of support and interest in the Free Forming Interest Group, which provides a powerful platform for all interested parties to plan for the future together. The meeting is open to all and we would welcome contributions from organisations active in free forming.”
PowdermatriX is hosted by CERAM, the internationally renowned centre for materials and technology based in Stoke-on-Trent.
