Russian Steelmaker Complies with ISO9001 Quality Management System

Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) is pleased to announce that its quality management system has passed an oversight audit conducted by TÜV CERT, the independent German certifying agency.

During the audit procedure at NLMK's steel production site in Lipetsk, TÜV CERT experts examined the overall Quality Management System confirming its compliance with international standards ISO 9001:2000. Also they confirmed NLMK's Quality Management System in hot-rolling production for compliance with European Council Directive - 97/23/EG and Technical regulations - AD 2000 W. NLMK's rolled steel products used in construction sector, as it was confirmed by the experts, complies with Directive 89/106/EEC and received the right to use mark «??» on steel produced for the construction industry.

The TÜV CERT experts checked all management system processes, the proper application and execution of regulatory acts, workflow procedures and operating activities in production units and technical support services. NLMK's compliance with international requirements and the right to use mark «??» on steel products for construction was confirmed by the certifying agency.
