New Micro Hardness Tester from Zwick

Indentec, the hardness specialist of the Zwick Roell Group has introduced the new ZHu MkII micro hardness tester. The instrument is supplied as standard with a motorized turret which can simultaneously support up to 4 objective lenses and 2 indenters. The test force range is from 10 gf to 2,000 gf, and as standard it is supplied with an integral microscope for manual measurement of the indentation. Upgrade options include software for automatic measurement of the indentation, motorized X-Y tables, automatic focusing and automatic effective case depth determination.

As with all products manufactured by Indentec, the instrument is supplied with UKAS accredited indenters and test blocks, thus ensuring compliance with the latest ISO and ASTM standards. Aerospace manufacturers who are operating a Nadcap approved system are also catered for with Indentec's on-site UKAS accredited calibration service in accordance with ISO 17025:2005.

When supplied in fully automatic configuration, the ZHu MkII is designed to remove the operator from the complete testing and measurement cycle, thereby reducing test time and the uncertainty of measurement normally associated with manual Vickers and Knoop measurement.
